American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL)

The American Association of Professional Landmen is a professional organization that unites approximately 12,000 landmen and land-related persons through professional development and service. AAPL's mission is to promote the highest standards of performance for all land professionals, to advance their stature and to encourage sound stewardship of energy and mineral resources.

Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL (MLBC)

On July 17, 1959, fifteen landmen held a luncheon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the purpose of organizing a Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen. The new chapter was named in honor of the area's most famous landman, Michael Late Benedum. Today the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL is a dynamic organization with members from many areas of the Appalachian Basin.

American Gas Association (AGA)
